Hi,

I've a 2000 Accord EX automatic that occasionally will not crank. Turning the ignition key all the lights come on as usual but there is no ignition. At first this happened intermittently but has recently gotten worse. Some time later I'll come back to it and the car starts right up. The battery charge is fine and the car isn't throwing any codes. This weekend the problem occurred once again..but the car cranked when I shoved the shift **** hard into park and wiggled the **** as I pushed forward. Next time out the car wouldn't crank and no matter how much I shift through the gears or wiggle around in neutral or park it doesn't crank.

One thing I've noticed on the console is that SOMETIMES, for a short period of time, the console says I'm in drive and in park...both are lit up simultaneously for a short interval. I've seen this before with a bad transmission but I don't think that's the problem here.

did you take care of the shifter interlock recall? the ignition switch recall?

does the green immobilizer flash when it cuts out?
