Main Relay Fuel Pump
Hi,
I'm changing my 92 Prelude Si, main relay, my old one had a problem, i had un-clipped it and started unbolting but i havent taken anything else out, just about off and i realise (i have big hands) how am i going to get it back on if their is a nut on the other side, will i be okay or should i take something else out first or should i try doing it back up and pulling the relay off the metal bracket and sliding new one on??
Thanks

I had the same thought with mine, it was such a fight to get to that bolt to get it out, that after I checked my relay, I tucked it back out of sight and didn't mess with putting the bolt back in. Not the right way but not like it really mattered to me concerning that.
Yeah it took a lot of patience but that bolt has a fixed nut on the other end so you dont have to worry about fiddling with it i swapped it out but took me over an hour to get it out and back in, have some panadol nearby though itll give you a headache thats for sure.
why take out the bolt, the relay is housed in a casing, pull the harness off, with a flathead pry the relay PCB itself out (there are 2 retaining hook clips on either side), do the same with your new one, plug in new relay and back into the old case
