i have a 2001 integra ls 2 door with worn out torque mounts.

Questions:

1) I was wondering if the TYPE r ones will fit without any modifications on my LS.

2) What is the difference between ITR torque mounts and the other trims? Stiffer?

3) Anyone who has put ITR torque mount in their LS/GS/GSR/RS, was there more cabin vibration?


Not interested in any aftermarket torque mounts. I like my near vibration free cabin.

 

dont bother with torque mounts

just get better 3 main engine mounts and remove the torque mounts all together, get some hasport 65a mounts, they will be about as stiff as factory new mounts, an not give you any vibration problems your worrying about

 

why would i change out my perfectly fine motor mounts? It's fine, i just want to replace my worn out torque mounts. THe ITR's are cheaper and supposedly better ??

Do you actually have the Hasport mounts? I do with my B18C1 and they vibrate quite a bit at idle, especially with the AC operating. They are the 65A durometer. That vertical vibration mode inherent to an I4 without a balance shaft is difficult to dampen with a solid bushing insert. The vibration is fine off of idle.

OP, the torque mounts are interchangeable. IIRC, they are all the same price. I have the ITR mounts, but did not have them side-by-side with good GSR mounts to make a comparison.

 

Did you run the ITR mounts on stock motor mounts? if so, was there added vibration?

 

ITR mounts feel and act just the same. the stiffest i can stand going is energy inserts in oe mounts. the hasport and avids just shake the steering wheel

itr mounts are stock motor mounts. ran a set that came with a jdm itr. identical in feel to the gsr mounts. i wound up putting energy inserts in mine to kill the wheel hop which it was very effective at. lot less engine bobbing and maybe 5-10% more vibration. absolutely noting like avids. i had those once, drove 2 miles, pulled them out and sold them. i can't stand the solid poly mounts
