99 civic dx.. put on short ram intake and where it sits after driving for a while its really hot .. its sitting right above tranny case... any DIY's about how to build a heat shield or anything???


Ive got an extra angled pipe that came with my cold air intake kit so filter would be down in the passenger bumper area .. tried this and almost sucked up water 1 time so i made it short ram.


What can I do to make this short ram filter not be directly above and sucking up all this hot air???

help anybody??

 

What are your IATs? I doubt it is anything abnormal. It is summer time and you have an ECU which changes settings and timing based on temperatures.

You can cool the air down by meth injection

 

you can get a cold air intake, then cover it with heat reflective wrap
