My passenger side window fell last night and will not go up or down. The motor runs, you can hear it running but the window is maybe not connected to the cable or something? My husband took off the door panel and found the cable that controls the window and it is just hanging there, not connected to anything...should it be? It was rather late last night when it happened and he couldn't see very well but it didn't seem like it should've been connected to anything in particular. I don't think the motor or the cable is the problem, the motor is making the "moving" noise and the cable goes in and out when the switch is pushed.

Any suggestions...?
