Default Ticking noise at idle...transmission area...

Okay...just recently I have noticed this odd ball sound, there is click-click noise that is coming from the transmission area.

What I know about the noise:
when the clutch pedal is pushed in the noise goes away
when the rpms have been raised to 900rpm+ it goes away

What I have recently changed:
JDM itr Final Drive
Comptech Al flywheel
ACT heavy duty pressure plate
Clutchnet "Kush-lok" clutch

All lube locations were lubed per the Honda manual, and all bolts were tightened to torque specs per the Honda manual.

The clutch now has ~2200 miles on it.

What you hear are the engine pulses in the form of the gears clacking against
each other. normal though it doesnt happen all the time.

The reason I ask is because I have a similar strange noise that I hear around the distributor area, or at least I think that is where its coming from. It only happens when the car is cold though. Once its warm it goes away completely. While the car is cold, a slight rpm increase will get rid of it.

I initially thought i was my valves, because I set them to the loose side of spec. So I changed to the tighter side of spec. Noise is still there.

Same sound comes from my car, I know it's from the transmission because when I press the clutch down, the noise goes away. I just lived with it, it doesnt happen all the time.

Almost completely positive, I had a couple of people look at it and they all confirmed that it was coming from the transmission area...I just opened the hood and asked them to find the noise.

Well that makes me feel better..for a second there I thought that I might have a flywheel bolt making some sort of noise, I was hoping to avoid dropping the tranny and loctiting all of the flywheel bolts.

I was also told that since it's a lightweight flywheel it could just be it making more noise than the heavier stock flywheel.

Sounds good to me...at high idle it disappears.

I have a 98 with 90k on it and have the same problem. Its been confirmed that its coming from the tranny. However, when I push the clutch, it also goes away. When I let off the clutch, it is always there though. It is so faint though. I never even noticed it until one day when my friend pointed it out. My flywheel is stock but i have CM stage 1. It made the noise before the clutch. A few mechanics said there is nothing to worry about at this point. Any other comments/suggestions? Thanks!
