car is a 92 honda civic vx hatchback

engine is a 93 b18a1
using stock vx harness
new dizzy

Starts right up but runs like crap like its missing or timing is off but I've checked it and seems right. I give the car gas and its slow to get rpms up then the engine light comes on (code 9) Swap was just done a couple days ago, any advice on where to look?

Thanks in advance, and I did a lot of searching but not much eg info with b18a1 swaps.

 

Anyone have anything I can do to get this figured out? Will the code 9 make it run sluggish like its misfiring???

 

it could be many things... i put a new dizzy,coolant temp,plugs,wires, checked all the wiring from computer to dizzy, one thing you can try is run a jumper wire from the computer to the dizzy (by pass te cars wiring harness) and i solved my problem by switching the positive and negative wires on the dizzy and it works mint no codes or nothing.. hopefully this works for you as well
