Default 93 del sol/b16a2 swap/chipped P28 ECU - code 9

Just put in a b16a2 with p28 chipped to run a b16a2 and I'm throwing code 9. I heard its a distributor problem. Is this true? Also it does not feel like it has full potential, power wise. Any suggestions?

generally code 9 means you need a new distributor. where did the engine come from? was everything in working order prior to you installing it?

Would that be the reason it doesn't feel like it has the power it should have as well?

1) Measure the resistance of the CYP sensor.

2) Make sure the two CYP sensor wires are properly pinned to the ECU.

3) Test the two CYP sensor wires for a short or open.

Is it safe to drive until I get it fixed? Also I have a like miss when you give is throttle it like misses or like hesitates. Could this be because of code 9? Dizzy related?

Don't drive it until you fix code 9. The misfire and code 9 are related.

You need a multimeter and know how to read resistance (Ohms) or continuity. The tests are straightforward.

Get a digital multimeter and post a picture of it.

Understood, but you risk damaging the engine. It's up to you.

If you have a distributor, go ahead. It's worth a try.

But if you want to fix car problems, now is the time to learn how to use one of the most important car tools -- the multimeter.
