93 del sol/b16a2 swap/chipped P28 ECU - code 9
Just put in a b16a2 with p28 chipped to run a b16a2 and I'm throwing code 9. I heard its a distributor problem. Is this true? Also it does not feel like it has full potential, power wise. Any suggestions?

generally code 9 means you need a new distributor. where did the engine come from? was everything in working order prior to you installing it?
Got it from a owner here around Toledo Ohio. You never know the condition Of the engine but he said it was all good. But obv not if I need a new dizzy.
1) Measure the resistance of the CYP sensor.
2) Make sure the two CYP sensor wires are properly pinned to the ECU.
3) Test the two CYP sensor wires for a short or open.

Is it safe to drive until I get it fixed? Also I have a like miss when you give is throttle it like misses or like hesitates. Could this be because of code 9? Dizzy related?
If you have a distributor, go ahead. It's worth a try.
