I have a 1990 crx si with b16 swap. I purchased the obd1 b16 swap with a lsd hydro trans. Everything is in running and I am able to drive it. My speedo isnt working due to the crx being a mechanical speedo and the hydro being electronic. I do not have any cels, and my vtec isnt working. I thought I would have a cel for the vss. I did contanct Honda and Acura dealerships and they told me the ecu has to show a speed for vtec to engage. I have a mechanical vss from a 90-93 integra. Can I just swap them out? If not what can I do to fix the speedo and vtec problem?

 

Yes, just swap in the DA vss and you should be good. Does the CEL work when you first turn the key?

 

yes the light comes on for a bit when the key is turn on. The da vss i have has 2 tubes for hoses do I just cap them off or does something actually hook up to them?

 

I think you can just cap them off Bc mine are capped off but don't hold me to it

 

I have a piece of hose connecting mine. My vtec engages no problem without the electric vss.
