Ignition cut off and on after starting?
Hey guys,
My car 1990 Honda Accord LX Sedan.
I was wondering about our ignition system. When I turn the key to Acc1, that's for the accessories, and then to Acc2, that's the ignition on, then the last position is right before starting right? I put a test light on it the entire time and found the above to be true.
So after I installed my car alarm, it has the feature of auto lock when the car starts, and auto unlock when key turn off. This is what I noticed, when I turn the key on, the doors would lock, this is before starting, would indicate that ignition is on. Then it unlocks, as I start the car, then lock again after the car started. So this tells me that the ignition turn on; while starting the car, it turns off, then after started, it turns back on.
Is this how our cars are? Ignition cut power to focus power on starting?
I ask b/c I don't want my car to lock, unlock, then lock after starting, that would kill my door actuators faster than normal.
Would this have anything to do with the fact that I have my alarm brain ignition connection wire into one of the plugs in the fuse box rather than the ignition wire?
Thanks.

I tap into the ignition wire instead and it solved the problem. I thought I would just use the plugs on the fuse box but it loses power when cranking. This is why.
Problem solved.
Thanks.
