97 speedometer lighting, HELP?

Default 97 speedometer lighting, HELP?

was wondering if any one could help me figure out how to fix my speedometer light, need to know what wires from the dash i need to replace will post picks when i get home. The CD player was ripped out, so i knew that was what caused it, any pics or wire chart would be helpful thanks.

Most likely, your illumination circuit was shorted when that deck was removed.

Nobody can give you a definitive answer based on that picture alone:

1) You will need to get the wiring diagrams for your car (you can get a Haynes manual at any auto part store), and start tracing the red and red/black wires from behind the deck back to your illumination dimmer using a DMM.

2) The dimmer is most likely shot. You can jump this after capping off the exposed red and red/black behind the radio. This will, in 99% of cases, get your cluster lights working after replacing the fuse.

3) When you put your new deck back in, the illumination wire you are concerned with is the black/red. Leave the solid red alone unless you want to end up where you began.
