Icon2 96-00 Civic Driveshafts (Axles)

Alright so here's the deal... I need new axles/driveshafts (driver and passenger) for my 1996 Honda Civic DX (5-speed, hatchback). I don't wanna buy aftermarket ones, I only want Genuine Honda ones... Here's the problem... The dealership told me that they no longer make remanufactured ones for 96-00 Civics, they only make remanufactured ones for 92-95 Civics. I don't wanna buy new ones unless I really have to because remanufactured ones are as good as new... Right?

96-00 Genuine Honda driveshaft (brand spanking new):
- 44010-S01-003 (Passenger)
- 44011-S01-003 (Driver)

92-95 Genuine Honda driveshaft (remanufactured):
- 06443-SR1-505RM (Passenger)
- 06444-SR1-505RM (Driver)

So here is what I'm asking... Will the 92-95 Civic axles/driveshafts fit my 96-00 Civic? Are the remanufactured ones as good as new? Thanks in advance for your help!

i am putting a 2000 civic ex auto axle i have from a totaled car in my yard into my 1990 crx 5 speed. same length and same spline counts both sides. alot of them are transferable. look at the specs of each and compare.

They fit. The dimensions are exactly the same, you can use automatic and ABS axles as well.

They should be. Honestly I don't know anyone that's ever bought one, they're normally priced out of any sane persons budget. I can honestly say I've never had an issue with Fenco aftermarket axles which are significantly cheaper.

check autozone, i paid $114 for both axles with core trade in and they come with lifetime warranty (axles were for a 2000 civic si and the car is a 97 EX with b18 engine)
