Had the heat shield come off my 2002 Odyssey and broke the O2 wire took it to manic would not make it up the hill to the garage and then the battery is dead it starts off from stop real slow but once up to speed it is ok manic says that the alternator is not putting out any volts and the shift mod in the trany are not working it came up with error codes for trany not sure what they were now he tells me i need to replace/rebuild trany and replace alternator

Came across this once before on a civic, the heat shield eats through the second O2 sensor, shorting the heater circuit, and blowing the ALT/SP SENSOR fuse, so that the alternator and speedo never work. You'll need to see if it shorted, and if so, what fuse it blew, they are probably related to some degree if they all occurred at the same time.

It is indeed just a blown fuse from the o2 sensor wire shorting to the metal. Repair/replace the o2 sensor wiring and change the fuse and your problem will be solved. Your alternator and transmission sensor is fine and does not need to be replaced.
