help with aem epm civic drag car
Rite well my question is do you have to re sync the ignition system when u have had the engine to bits or had the epm disconnected?
I have a fully built b16 running 9.8s
Now ive had problems with the car I blowen the head gasket while testing some nitrous and damages some valves too
So I built the head back up new valves and head gasket checked head put it all back together went back on dyno for a bit check and tune and bang Iam down 85 bhp
Iv leak down tested it and conpression tested it evverything is fine
Now all Iam thinking is it has something to do with timing
The car won't rev pass 8ish and its dropping off power at 7k
It still makes boost tho
Hope you can help guys
Cheers

In theory, as long as everything went together the same way it came apart you shouldn't have to re-sync, however reality can be a different story. If you read AEM's directions, they specify re-syncing the ig. timing anytime ignition components have been removed or replaced.
Grab a timing light, I'm sure it took longer to post this than it would have taken to verify where you're at.
