Hey Honda-tech I got a few questions for ya. Im a EF (88-91) guy so Im new to EK's. Im looking to do a power door locks/windows/and mirrors conversion.
I went to the local yard and grabbed the floor harness (doors to fuel pump/back drivers side wheel arch) and the firewall (interior fusebox to exterior fusebox) harness from a 00 EX. My question is can I use these in place of my 96 DX Floor and Firewall harness without any problems. Do I need the 00 underdash harness to make this work? This EX has keyless entry from the factory and I noticed the radio plug is different from the 96 radio plug

Not easily, no. the '00 EX is OBD2B, the '96 is OBD2A. Different plugs in a lot of places. You can make it work if you hunt down the wiring diagrams and pin-outs, though.

 

id reco just getting a spal universal window kit. A buddy of mine has...paid 100 ish for it. its a nice set up...power windows that you wire up (a few wires/not much) and run to the arm rest area. It also allows you to keep your crank on the window (in case of an emergency where the motor dies, etc)

If your an EF guy....im thinking crx or civic si --something fun, so chances are you didnt have power accessories regardless, lol.

You already have keyless entry, and how often do you adjust your mirrors really? I have pm, and I haven't touched the switch in probably 3 years, lol. Windows and locks you need..mirrors are a waste in my opinion.

 

I have an ef sedan that I swapped a b18 into fully wiretucked and everything. So I'm used to power everything. I just wanna know if I need the dash harness I have a the other harnesses to make this Work. And no I don't want an aftermarket unit I am on a strict no job, college budget and I'm getting all this 00 civic stuff free
