Post 95 4dr EX - Advice For a Build

1995 Sedan EX D16z6 Automatic My goal for this car is just a nice, clean vehicle with get up and go. Looking to get as much power and performance while sticking with all motor and all the luxuries (A/C, PS etc. ) There is so much that I want to do but I just really don't know what is "important" and what is not, or where I should start or prioritize. Any helpful advice is appreciated.
I will eventually get a Civic with a manual transmission, and keep this one for winter, or maybe sell it, not sure. I will be doing the majority of the work.

The engine is completely stock, I will get more pics up as soon as I take some.

Thanks for reading.

If you have questions, just ask.

Those are when i had just gotten the car. Updated pictures coming soon.

boost or swap. short of that, nothing you do will give you any noticeable get up and go, especially with that auto.

Thanks, is boost really worth it on an auto? There are not really a lot of threads about that.

If your eventually gonna get a manual civic and keep this one for winter or sell it....what is the point in building a slush box winter beater?

Get a CAI or SRI for improved fuel economy. That is all. Save up and get another car for speed, unless you want to fully convert this to manual trans. I don't suggest keeping the D16Z6 if you do that either. Might as well go B series. B18C1 would be the best bang for the buck.

ya auto honda are no good for power. if you wanna a lil go getter on the fairly cheap start sourcing boost parts. you can get a good deal on parts if you buy separate. and get a 5 speed

If you want something that you can DD that has some get up and go, is a simple swap that will not kill your wallet and will still have AC and PS using all OEM parts... Do a B18C5 or JDM B18C swap with a good header like a Toda or Hytech rep, 2.5" cat back, 3 inch intake with velocity stack and filter and get a good tune. That is a 200-210whp combo. If you dont have the budget for the Type R then go with a LS Vtec or GSR swap. But if you want some power you will need to get away from the D series or do a 5 spd swap and boost the single cam. On boost you can get 200-250whp and it will be pretty fun to drive but still more to do right than a swap.

Yea, I will probably end up keeping this for winter time.

I was considering making a 5 spd, but then I would still need a winter car, so I will just go out and buy a car with a 5spd.

Yea, I start getting parts together already that way as soon as I get the car and the swap ready, its all installation.
