Default AC High side low, Low side normal

95 Accord EX 4 banger

Today on my way out, started car, jumped in and turned the AC on.
Started to make a hissing noise coming from the glove compartment area.
Noticed the car's AC was not cooling so I came back home and hooked up the gauges.
Low side was a little low (ambient temps was 80F) and high side was almost on 0.
I suspect it to be a expansion valve stuck either open or in the closed position. Just wanted to get a second opinion after I had searched the forum. Any help is appreciated

Is the compressor working(Clutch engaged)? High side is zero, I would suspect the compressor.

Clutch was initially engaged when I first started the car this morning but now this afternoon now I don't hear it engaging.

Compressor was bad. Swapped compressor, vacuumed AC, charged and now it is running cold!

Last night went back out to the car and smelled freon and it was leaking from the drier. I replaced the drier last month since I had the bumper off and thought since the AC was exposed to moisture (accident and the freon leaked out) might as well change the drier. The copper fitting on the drier was spraying freon out of it so it was NOT the compressor. Luckily, I had another compressor laying around and didn't have to purchase one. If you ever get a drier, don't get the one like in this picture. The copper fittings somehow started backing out causing the freon to leak out from the rubber seals. Get a drier w/o any copper seals on the side.

Thanks for the heads up.

Also, I learned that to not expose the drier out for too long due to the dis-scant bag inside the drier. It's not suppose to be exposed in the open for long hence why it's capped from manufacturer and also from debris.

Thanks Nus. When I installed it I mounted the drier first and kept the caps on until I attached the lines. Little exposure as possible to atmosphere air.
