01 accord clutch pedal sinks to the floor?
as stated the clutch pedal sinks to the floor so i am pretty certian that it is the master clutch cylinder but the resevoir has plenty of fluid all though it does seem to be hissing air at the pedal.
dont they usually leak when the go bad.
also the slave cylinder seems to be working properly but the pedal just goes straight to the floor. and you have to pull it up by hand. any help/

First I'd do is bleed your hydraulic clutch system. That should remove any air in the system, but if it starts to get spongy and down to the floor again, you def. have a leak somewhere.
Look underneath your clutch pedal where it hooks up to the clutch master cylinder, if you see fluids around there then it's leaking and will need to be replace. Otherwise, it'll mostly likely be your slave, but they usually leak before they go bad though.

Im kinda baffled here. The clutch pedal is supposed to go to the floor. I find it hard to imagine ur talking about the brake pedal. At any rate, bleeding the clutch is different than bleeding the brakes. If you're talking about the clutch pedal not springing back up, then bleed it like nus says. Do it properly.
yes it does not spring back up obviously that what i meant.
there are no leaks and i have bleed the system of are at the slave cylinder.

It really sounds like you need to replace the Clutch Master Cylinder. Some guys say to replace the slave also, personally if the slave isn't leaking why spend the money. Be sure to flush the fluid until it is clean after replacing the Master. I am sure that if you pull a sample from the reservoir fluid and put it in a clear glass container that it is full of CRAP from the detereorated seal in the master, probably lots of small black particles.
Flush it just like brakes. Do you have a bleeder? I purchased one at Harbor Freight that uses air from my compressor and it works great, like $25.
If the clutch system is working normally the clutch pedal is returned by the spring pressure from the clutch pressure plate pushing back on the slave cylinder which in turn places pressure on the fluid in the master which returns the clutch pedal the the up position.
