Help! Trans not shifting.
Goodmorning guys,
Need some help.
So I replaced the solenoid.
The car was shifting fine, I got her down to the gas station, and now its not wanting to get into any gear.
Thoughts?
I dont feel any jerk when I goto shift?
No D4 blinking.
Check Engine light is on, going to pull that code.

there is a valve on the transmission,I can't remember which one it is now, they go bad, line pressure drops, and usually before you have figured out what happened, the low pressure has caused the bands to slip to the point they are ruined, this is a common issue on these cars, I'm assuming you have a 98-2000 civic from the video, you haven't provided one useful detail about what model or year the car is, you probably need to go find another transmission,if you can find a good one, I had this same issue on my 98,it sat for a year due to not being able to find a tranny and I finally sold it for almost nothing, they aren't even worth rebuilding, they had this issue across most of the Honda line those years

it might be I was in a hurry to look at the video,it's probably the same issue though, they had this issue across the entire line of Honda cars those years, I did all the tricks such as draining and refilling, replaced the solonoid valves, etc and nothing worked, if it hadn't already been a beater I would have done the manual swap, but it had too much other stuff wrong with it to make it worth the time

when mine went out I went and talked to our local transmission guy and he said the same thing that everyone else said, when these particular transmissions go out, they aren't even worth trying to rebuild, He said he didn't even want me to waste my money trying to fix it, and he couldn't warranty it if I did. He's been in business over 40 years and has worked on plenty of these, and has pretty much a solid reputation around here, I'll take him on his word with this. It's just a bad design from Honda is all, look for another one still working or convert to five speed
When I first bought the car, I knew it had a trannie problem.
She gave me the codes, and I did my internet reserch.
The codes I am getting codes p1758 and P6715, I dont know it they are current.
I am not near my car, however I am working on getting it shipped to me.
I replaced the top selonoide, but havent touched the bottom one.
The car shifted fine all the way down to the gas station.
I went inside to pay for gas, and when I came out, it felt like it would engaged a gear, and if it did, it would kick out.
But when the trans was working, it shifting great.
Am I better off replacing the trans?
Oh am I better off troubleshooting the trans?
Shoot me all thoughts.
