Default Rebuilding LS transmission

I have a A1 transmission for my b16a I personally ****inggg hate it!

Anyhow, I have a S1 cable transmission short geared, sitting in the shop.
There is a little gear at the end of the countershaft, It has a little chip, so i figured it's no good.

Is there a way when I rebuild my LS transmission, I can take out the 2nd, 3rd and 4th gear of the s1 transmission and just swap them on? the final drive is the same as the a1 I believe they're both 4.400 final drive.

What's that little gear at the end of the counter shaft, is it better to just replace that little piece?

If it is the gear under the snap ring bearing on the countershaft it is 5th gear.
