zc flywheel
I have 2 questions. One is, are the crx si and zc flywheel the same? The other is, what will a lighter after market flywheel do for me? Cause i am putting my zc in pretty soon and if a new flywheel makes a big diffrence i will probably get one. I am planing on putting a stage 1 clutch in too. If that makes a diffrence.
if its a sohc zc, no, dohc zc, then yes, lighter flywheel gets your rpms higher, it doesn't need as much power to turn a 15 lb flywheel as it does an 8 lb flywheel. It all depends on how you drive, if your clutch is ripped up from slipping too much or not bringing the rpms up all the way, you might wanna upgrade, but a stage one isn't much more than stock. If you have big plans for power you may want a stage 3 or 4. Judgement call really
It all depends on the year tranny and Flywheel
I have a 91 ZC motor, but have the 89 CRX Si flywheel on it b/c I'd already bought the ACT clutch for that.
The seller said none of their motors had flywheels. Both of the ones I saw did. Oh well.
The ZC's was lighter than the Si's, but not by much.

You bought that ZC from jspecjdm.net right? If you did for some reason we often get motors with aftermarket parts such as lighten flywheels, and cams, so your best bet that might already be a lighten flywheel
Well it's obviously an OEM flywheel from something. I have no reason to believe it's not original.
The motor was from nippon...and burned a hell of a lot of oil

I know that the one that came on my 91 ZC was the same as an 89 Si flywheel. As an alternative, you could get a machine shop to lighten your flywheel. It could possibly be cheaper than an aftermarket one.
