yes, i used to run that setup. no advantage really from the lower tie bar IMHO. i tried it both ways and i found no real difference
Cart Fan said it Lower Tie Bar = no real advantage

you need to get a kit from Beaks or BSQ to mount the itr sway bar correctly. the kits run from 35-60.00 for all the hardware and everything. i havent run a rear strut tower bar, but in the end i think it will stiff up the car a little bit. that might be a better route than the rear lower tie bar. but the rear STB is my next thing to add to the car

BSQ is great kit. killer price
But if you're dead set on getting a tiebar also. You might want to look at the rear subframe brace that Comptech sells w/ their swaybar kit.
Kill two birds w/ one stone. Get your tiebar and the reinforcement kit.
Be sure you ask for the subframe brace, their tiebar is a completely different part and will do nothing to keep the swaybar from tearing out.

Me and someone else (named shobo or something like that) on this board had fitment issues with the benen tie bar and 22mm ITR sway bar. There wasn't enough room/clearance. The lower bushing bolt hindered the tie bar from bolting on all the way.
This was fixed using washers with the benen bar. You can find some at local autoparts shops or simply order from Beaks. He specifically makes a seperate beaks that consists of two spaces and longer bolts that solves the Benen/ITR sway problem. You can find it on beaks website. Email him if you're not sure what to get. He'll know.
