oil in spark plugs? :/
so i just got me a 1990 ls da9
b18b1 gsr tranny
its got about 220xxx miles on the body, and 130xxx on the swap
and about two hundred and fifty miles on the tranny
i've had it for about 2 weeks now, and i finally got enough money for a general tune up.
new spark plugs and wires
new oil and oil and filter
new coolant and radiator flush
when i was removing the spark plugs form the block i noticed there was oil on all 4 of them. not too much oil just moist with oil. what can that mean? i'm hoping for the best but assuming the worst. is it always bad? any help would be great, and try to keep the insults to a minimum if possible, i'm new to honda tech. please tell me if i need to provide any more info. thanks!

spark plug tube seals. get a new valve cover gasket kit with new seals and grommets and your problem will be solved. I suggest not getting felpro because there gaskets for these are usually a little too big and hard to install. I use oem (the brand, not the dealer) or beck arnley or imc. good luck
firstly, you must determine if the oil is coming from above the spark plug threads or below.
if from above the threads, you have to look very closely into the tube at where the oil is actually coming from. if there is no oil at the top of the tubes, running down, there are seals at the bottom of the tubes. these are not as easy to change as the upper tube seals, as the cams must be removed. if it's coming from the tops of the tubes, it's the upper seals that come with the valve cover gasket kit
