Default Buying a Crx Si Shell this weekend :)

Hello Honda-Tech,
So a few months back my shed was broken into, I had almost a complete poor mans r stolen from me(gsr block w/ b16 head) was building for boost, had rods & pistons and a bunch other goodies. Really dreaded that feeling and told myself i was done with Hondas untill i had a secure garage. Well, Eff that. im buying a Crx this weekend and i think im gonna go with a non extreme/cheaper build for this one. Gonna stick with the D series, gonna boost it (obviously) and was hoping for around 300-330 whp.

So ive heard alot of good about these YCP Vitari builds and was thinking about trying thos pistons along with some eagle rods. any insight?
Now, This is going to be my first d series build, In fact, this will be the first d series ive ever owned lol. More less just wanna get some info on what block/head combo to use, as well as trans, clutch, turbo, etc. This is my new project, So lets say budget is open, but not looking to spend 10,000. If all goes well this car will be 100% Complete and ready to be tuned middle winter.

Any info is appreciated

If you used a proper title for your thread you would get more help. I know from experience. Trust me. People look at this thread title and go cool he is buying a CRX and he posted in forced induction why?

Try "vitara piston turbo build" or something along those lines.

Sorry I know nothing about them.

Good Luck with the purchase!

D-Series is a good choice!

IMO the best motor combo to run is the D16Z6 or a SOHC Vtec ZC JDM motor. The Vitara pistions and Eagle rod combo has been proven to hold up to a lot of power so you are good for your 350whp goal. As for what turbo to use the best and most complete kits IMO are from Go Autoworks. The street kit with a 57 trim Garrett will be a good turbo to run for the goal you have set. Clutches, I would go with a CC stage 3 6 puck sprung disc, they hold nicely and are streetable. Trans wise a EF or CRX Si trans is the best one due to the shorter gearing. Or you can run the one for the Z6 motor but you will need to convert to a hydro clutch instead of cable. Some DSM 450CC injector will be cheap and work well your 350whp and a S100 or S300 for tuning.
