My buddy has a 2000 si coupe that is totaled and I was thinking bout taking his hole sunroof top off and installing it into my ek hatch!!! Would I be able to do it?? Is the a hole page write up on it how to do and install!!! If so link me to it!!!

 

Since you guys both have 96-00 civics and if your car is already equipped with a sunroof then its simple plug and play. Just remove the headliner and the unbolt the old sunroof (8 bolts) and then install the new one and plug it up and install the headliner.

he has a hatch which never came with a sunroof.

it's not gonna be easy. coupes and hatches don't share the same roof skin, so this isn't going to be a bolt on thing. you're gonna have to consult a body shop.

 

Yea I'm puting it on a ek hatch!!!! Thought so too!!!

Too much work involved but if u want it then do it. Its gonna be custom work tho so think long and hard before u say piece of cake

If you want to it, make sure you have the motivation to do it right and do your homework! You will need the roof supports from the si to use on your hatch. And a new roof skin if you want to do it right. You might have to order that from a honda dealer from Canada. Cuz US dealer will most likely not be able to order one. Unless you got mad welding skills and chop both roof and make it fit. It can be done. It just depends how bad you want it and how much coin you willing to drop. Since you already have a donor car for everything else you are saving a lot on sourcing harness, relays, button, sunroof, etc. only thing I can think og you will need to make it look original would be a new roof skin and headliner..
