Default Auto 5 Speed Conversion QUESTION!!!!

Ok someone please help me out here is the details.
1990 LX Automatic Accord Converted to 5spd.
Has a H22a 5spd swap which ran perfect in my Hatchback before it was swapped in the accord.

Here is the issue I am having. The transmission does not go into gear when car is on but will go into gear when turned off. When I have it in first gear and turn the car on the car will lunge forward. I'm using a brandnew Honda Master & slave cylinders with OEM Accord lines with the damper in between lines (NO LEAKS ANYWHERE) I removed all the air from the lines many times the correct way (same way i bleed all my cars with no issues). Pedal feels light but can feel pressure building in the lines and pushes the clutch fork about 1 1/4" out which I believe is normal. I put in a brand new clutch with throwout bearing and everything went together great and fork is not bent and slides nice on input shaft. Also the shiftlinkage works good and shifts into gears when car is off with no issues.

Now is there something im missing or not doing?
Is there another way to disengage the clutch without using clutch pedal system?

Again this transmission works perfectly so i know it has to be either clutch hydraulic system or something else.

PLEASE HELP!!!!

I've changed the clutch and put in a brand-new clutch out the box with realease bearing. I got the same problem I notice when I tighten the pressure plate to spec (19lbs). I noticed before its tighten down the fingers on plate come out in the center but when tightened the center flattens out. Is that normal or what?

Yes this transmission has no issues. I used it for years with no issues

I understand you've changed the clutch but you didn't change pressure plate.

Brand new clutch pressure plate and disc and throwout bearing, The disc is the correct way. i have done many clutch installs. Its like the fork is not being pushed far enough for it to disengage?

Yes that's normal.

Some year Accords need reinforcements to keep the firewall from flexing on converted automatics, otherwise the firewall moves enough to prevent the clutch from releasing all the way, also, the pushrod on the master cylinder may need to be adjusted.

I had the same problem after I put in a new clutch. I had it towed to a shop, the guy removed everything back out and found nothing. He assembled it back together and has worked fine since. I guess, I must've had the input shaft pressured against the disc in a odd way for it not to go in gears with car on but goes in fine with car off.

Hope you get it figured out.
