Whats the best wayto check a/c compressor relay?

I need some help to see if it has anything to do with blowing my #56 fuse (condensor fan) Thanks for any help

I would also like to know. My 91 SI compressor wont engage. Compressor isn't frozen but yet never comes on, high and low side for freon are within range.

Like any other relay, make sure the switch side has no continuity then apply power to the resistor side. It should make an audible click if it's working, you can verify this by checking for continuity after power has been applied. If no click is heard or there is still no continuity then the relay isn't working.
