im new to building engines and want to know the proper way to do it. ive got no problems finding torque specs in the many threads about engine assembly and DIY auto books, chiltons. but i hardly notice anyone talking about sealants, oiling, adhesives, and other compounds, the books doesnt say anything either (chiltons, says refer to manufactur specifications, no help there).

im looking for a general write up about what/where/when to apply adhesives sealants anti-sieze and bonding compounds?

the integra forum is DEAD, i have a thread in there and am getting people pitching me cam plugs for sale but i know theres alot of traffic through here.

it's called a helms manual. far and above better than any of those chiltons/haynes crap manuals.

 

Ive never seen anything more then "soak in motor oil" in all my readings, however Ive only ever dealt with top end of the motor...I never went to the bottom.

 

B18B, so b-series would be awsome, but im just doing the valve cover gasket and cam plug right now.
