1999 crv trans swap
I have a 99 fwd, it was hit in the front, changed all damaged parts, car runs fine ,trans had a small crack, leak, so a friend gave me a 99awd, less motor,so i put the awd trans in place of the fwd, and the car don"t move, I don't know the history on the parts car, but it only had 50k on the odometer, is it possible the ecu is different, I did have to change the shift cable, or maybe just a bad trans, everything matched elec, connections, etc, any help would be greatly appreciated.
is it possible the awd tranny needs a rear drive line in it in order to work? im not sure how they work but it could be sensing no power to the rear wheels and its trying to give all the power to the rear in wich case you dont have.
Negative. I currently have no rear drive shaft due to an exploded u joint.

thanks everyone, for the input, after more research I have determined that I have no line pressure, what could cause this? maybe solenoids? I may have to part the all wheel drive crv out to buy a new fwd tranny, if I can't fix this one.
Well, I took the awd tranny back out , I welded the crack around the lower mount boss, on the fwd tranny, re-installed works like new, Upon removing the awd trans, I"m not sure if I had the torque converter all the way in, may be why the awd didn't work? Anyhow I'ts going now, Still have the all wheel drive for parts.
