Default Blown coils

We have replaced 5 coils in about 300 miles....the last one was a Honda coil. Before the Honda coil we replaced the distributor cap, rotor, plugs, and wires...the coils are getting so hot they almost blow up....Any ideas...Thanks Greg

Is the inner cover inside the distributor missing?

If you are talking about the loose plastic cover that is held on by the rotor it is in place.... Can you explain how the grounds work .... A tech from Honda said it couldn't be a ground because a number of other problems would have shown up... we have gown through some brake lights ... if that makes a difference... thanks Greg
