GSR swap - Rough idle, hesitation at low RPM, and slight smoke from exhaust??
Hey folks any ideas as to what might be going on here with my Civic? Like said in the title I've got a couple of problems. I've also had my car shut off twice at stop signs. I've only got 200 miles on the motor since the swap was complete, guessing there is no more than 50k on the motor itself.. All new plugs and wires (NGK), Dizzy looks brand new, TPS was set. I've read quite a few posts about this topic but if someone has any clues please let me know.. THANKS
A) valve seal leak
B) valve seat not sealing properly.
Shut off twice at stop signs? You mean the revs dip so low when you brake, the car stalls, or?

Yea RPMs dip, sometimes when at idle sounds like breathing ya know.. little up back down little up back down... nothing incredibly drastic but certainly noticeable.
also hiccups at low rpms when just putting around.. when i push the gas it'll hesitate sorta sputter then take off like a bat out of hell.. other than this issue and the little smoke engine runs like a champ
Still looking for help wit hthis issue.... I'm sure that I am running rich as the smell of the smoke and loss of MPG (roughly getting 18mpg)... I talked to a guy today and he said to go over the wiring that was added when the install was done.. Maybe a MAP sensor.. I've checked timing and have all new plugs wires rotor and cap. anyone have a similar problem or know of someone who has?? I have stock intake manifold and I believe it is a p72 ecu for my 1996 b18c... please give me a shout!! Thanks!!
