ok i finally put my h2b setup together jdm h22a gsr trans qsd kit ext ext now i was running it on a p13 ecu but kept throwing cel for egr knock and a bunch of other **** so i got a chipped p28 basemapped from phearable and it ran fine no cel no nothin let the car warm up drove around and cracked into it a couple times and it wont rev out vtec is set at 4k redline was set to 8k but it will not rev past 6k sometimes it wont rev past 5500 now i have no cel all grounds are good now i trouble shooted the best i could and cant figure it out o and we ran the car with iabs closed and open and nothing changed where should i look to fix this issue and yes i searched and searched and seacherd lmk wat i should try to get it to work correctly

Try a diff ECU would be my next thing to do!

 

did that had a jdm p13 first ran like **** used chipped p28 didnt rev out then had a basemap put on a hondata s200 still no rev out then took my chip out of my p28 and put it in another and still no rev out its like its hitting the rev limiter too early i cant understand it

 

maybe its a timing issue? did u ever change the timing belt before you installed the motor? if thats the case its probably a tooth off, explaining why it was running like crap.

 

never toutched the timing at all but the funny thing is it dosent run like crap it pulls hard as **** it just hits wat i would call an early rev limit idk and ill check the timing but im like 100% its like dead on

 

Check TPS and MAP sensors, same plug may be switched? also check spark plug gap.

 

Tachometer is off I had the same problem in my eg with a poormans type r. I tried different ecu's also and nothing would fix it. Pulled hard just like you say with 5500 rpm rev limit. Eg Tachs are notorious for being off the higher they rev. If I was you I would by a cheapo tach to see if that's your problem.

 

the map and tps arent mixed up checkd that before we started and spark plugs were gapped when installed

well we switched tachs 3 times one of the tachs came out of my dd so i kno it works and same thing i will plug in my 5inch tach and see wat it does then

thats a good idea but the only issue is finding one the one i have is external coil wat other dizzys can i use and how would i go about wiring an internal coil dizzy instead of external coil dizzy

 

External coil H22 dizzys should be easy to find.

just a little update i said **** finding a dizzy and ****ing with it i took it to get it tunned and the car was reving out the dizzy just isnt reading propper for the tach so thats fine in the end the car made 204whp which surprised me cause its a stock jdm h22a and we also found out it has auto cams in it so next plan is to get some manual cams new intake manifold setup and re dyno the car seeing how much i can make on stock internals cams ext

 

Nice, glad you got it figured out. Now get you a aftermarket tach. post some pics of the car/setup.

 

Little update put the tach in and mounted up the apexi ws2 exhaust and drove the car and it felt like such a turd we tunned the car on open header so I'm thinking that ws2 is robin me of some power made a pass with a b16 eg 4door and got housed so exhaust is def getting changed as well as cams and removing the iab stay tunned

 

ok i kno its been a while but heres an ubdate car was running like **** for a while and then blew an oil cooler gasket so it was parked for a while fixed that and decided to do some more **** to her i changed my cams and intake manifold and decided to get it tunned on e85 took it to the dyno and the dizzy took a **** changed dizzys to a used one and threw cel code #9 which is cyp so i changed the cyp and still threw a code so i bought a brand new dizzy and still threw the code so i took the bolt out the bottom of the dizzy and rotated it clockwise all the way and boom no cel so im thinking my timing might b off a tooth any suggestions or advice
