Default Best boost controller?

Which boost controller would be the best for a Turbo'd D16Y8?

Looking at Blitz SBC-id II or Greddy AVC-R.

AVC-R is too hard to use, really a pain, profec B is simple and works.

Reason being, I do not trust my boost gauge. So, I was thinking that I could use the boost controller reading for a more accurate result. Also, I wouldnt need a better gauge.

Any thoughts?

They did that test on a elcipse with a internal wastegate that was boost creeping...so boost gauges with the fuzzylogic had a hard time reading boost levels..but i would suggest the evc 4, but if you have the cash go for the evc 5..and you can't go wrong with a profec B

You'd have to get a controller that actually read boost then. Profec B doesnt. Neither do the MBC.

Get a Profec B, you'll be happy. I had various other boost controllers, and none of them are EASY to control like the Profec. With the Profec, its just "set it and forget it."

I have a SBC-iD, and it's really easy to hook up and set up.
You only specify desired boost, and gain. That's it..
On top of that, you can use it to hook up up to 3 other data sources..
Has datalogging on channels.. Has boost limit/warning (screen changes from
green to red and it beeps). Graphical graph of data over time, or bar graph of
instantaneous boost levels. Unit type of PSI, BAR, mmKg(forgot the units)..
I actually bought this one so that I wouldn't need to buy a boost gauge.

uhh, AVC-R is very easy to use...having many options, isn't difficult to use...AVCR is best bang for the buck.
