How do you remove rear brake "cam" on the caliper?
I am trying to rebuild my rear caliper piston seal, got the rebuild kit from honda. I managed to get the parking nut off, and as i try to turn the bolt that is part of the "cam" clockwise, i heard a small click and then is locked into this horizontal position...
How can you get it back to its original vertical position?
And how do you get the cam out?

Have you removed the piston from the caliper yet?
Check out this link, it's for an MR2 but the basic design is the same for most rear calipers with integrated parking brake/self adjuster.

Normally you would remove the piston, self adjuster assembly. Then you can remove the cam.
That is the self adjuster screw jack, it locks the cam into position. On the other end is a stud that rides that groove in the cam. If it is not removed there is no way you can remove the cam without damage.

Thanks Mike, now on a journey to shop for such deep pillar. lol
Check the most common store here, Canadian Tire, don't have it that long, hopefully some other specialty store have it.

FWIW this is a better exploded view of the caliper/caliper piston on an CD Accord.

Check the local hardware store for circlip pliers if the auto store has nothing.
No need to get the uber pricey units.
