I have a 94' Civic EX with a stock D16Z6 VTEC engine.. And for some reason, my engine doesn't sound very loud. I know others with stock VTEC engines and they sound loud just running them slow or taking off but my engine is quiet. I know I have a blown head gasket and I'm fixing it. Could this be why it's quiet?

 

becuase it's a D series.

 

 

Really?? Another thread on 'why my VTEC isn't loud??' Bro, search the 'VTEC' on the forum, I guarantee you will find more than enough info....

And its a stock D. So unless you have a(n) 4 inch exhaust you really won't hear the crossover....

 

 

Vtec fluid appears to be low have you checked it?

 

This question is unlikely to yield any serious answers. VTEC should not be noisy and neither should your engine.
