Default Wiring harness differences?

My friend is doing a D16 manual swap from auto into his '99 Integra, please don't ask why. A few plugs from his harness do not match up, one big one is the distributor. At first I thought it would be a B series harness on the D series motor but then I tried a harness from MY 2nd gen GSR and the distributor connects right up to that one. I was wondering what harness would be needed to connect his and could I just sell him my harness to get his car running?

Also, I have a CRX with a B16 swap and want to tuck the harness, does anyone know of any sites or have pictures of the b16/crx wiring diagram so I can make a custom harness?

thanks

99-00 d series have a different distributor plug from 96-98. you'll need an adapter. same with obd1 distributors.

Okay that makes sense because the D16 is from a 97 EK sedan.
- Is the D16 OBD0 or OBD1?
- Is the car OBD0 or OBD1?
- Would I need a whole new harness or just the adapter for the distributor?
- Do you know of a website/place that would sell a distributor adapter?

& thank you very much for the insight.

I called Rywire and they pretty much just laughed at me for putting a D16 in an Integra
They said the Integra is OBD2a and the engine is OBD1, and he needs to get a ECU jumper as well. I am so lost.

i dont see why it wont work. all you need to do is swap in a dx ecu from a 96-98 civic. the integra harness should still work since sensor connections are pretty much the same

you need to figure out exactly what engine it is, as there are at least 10 different d series. then you can go from there.

Just checked the engine, It's a D16Y7 which is OBD2. The car is OBD2 as well. I have no Idea what is going on now.

the distributor should plug right in then. you'll need to use the integra harness and do the necessary wiring changes for the iacv, ckf sensor, and iat sensor.
