hey guys i have a 97 honda civic dx with a b16 swap. I found that the oil pan gasket was leaking from the right corner. I started a oil pan gasket replace earlier today and when i got the pan off there was a random redish looking material come out of the small circular disk in the middle of the bottom end. It doesnt have the feeling of a seal material but then again idk...I posted a picture of it below and you can see the small slit that i pulled the material out of. Please let me know if this is some kind of seal that needs replaced or just previous owner abuse and neglect of engine. Thank you in advance for the help.

 

look common for older motors. How many miles do you have on there? And can you post a higher res picture? that picture is small and you cant really see anything.

 

Unfortunately i already put it all back together but i also don't know hoe many miles are on it
