Hi i am new to this forum and am going to put this motor into a sand car. I have read that they use the stock ecu and adapt the wire harness. I was wondering what all i need to do to get this motor in my car and running.
how hard is it to modify harness and is the ecu programing neccisary to make the motor work in the car or is it just a performance thing. Dont have a whole lot of money to spend on this so im trying to do everything myself. I built the rest of the car and have motor knowledge. I have rebuilt a few motors and done some swaps but never had to modify/delete wires from a harness.
Also is there anything to do with anti-theft in the computers? i know some have to have a certain signal from column or key to start. Any help would be appreciated.

ecu needs to be programmed only for the immobilizer. if you are using the keys from the same car as the ecu came from it should start the motor
