Okay so here's the deal, my A/c compressor blew (hole in area facing bumper). I got a quote at the local repair shop and they wanted $995 for compressor/drier/condenser/flush. My questions are..

1) is it really necessary to replace the condenser? This quote was over the phone but he said it was procedure? Sounds sketch

2) any recommendation on which a/c compressor to buy? I see some kits online that come with compressor/drier/o rings/oil.

I have replaced my compressor before so have faith in my ability to do so. My plan is to replace the compressor and drier then go get the system flushed at a shop then refill myself? Anything I am overlooking?
