Default Im looking for a deep sounding exhaust

Im looking for an exhaust that has a nice deep sound to it. I was thinking of getting a magnaflow exhaust and maybe a HKS 4inch muffler.

Any input.

Thanks

You should probably get something a lot smaller than 4" or it's going to be entirely too raspy. Also consider just skipping it and going straight to a B-series. B16 and stock EX exhaust surprisingly sounds nice.

Yes, 4 inches is too big. Go with the 3.75". Also make sure that your whole exhaust has the same diameter all the way through. So 3.75" from the headers back would do it.

Right now it has a stock exhaust and a no name 3inch muffler. I have a 4inch megan muffler sitting in my garage.

Ill try the 3.75inch front to back.

Any brands make good mufflers? Ill get the pipe custom made stainless steel. cheaper

Is this car turbo, because anything over 3" is overkill for na.

3.75" on an NA four cylinder? No, Just no.

Look up random exhausts on youtube, this is all selective, what one may like, you may not like and vise versa. Only way to tell is just by hearing sound clips of cars that have the same motor as you.

If thats the case, then go with a twin loop exhaust - they sound deep and throaty without being raspy.

The only other exhaust I've heard that sounds good na - and deep is the fujitsubo rm01a.

So there you go.

Even a turbo setup only needs a 3" exhaust at most. 3.75" header back is ridiculous.

N/A, unmodified car? 2", 2.5" max.

These guys don't know what they're talking about man. You want to max the distance travled for sound to properly sync since vibration will be your biggest issue when dealing with rasp. With a 3.75 id exhaust there will be minimal restriction and minimal vibration. Think about it man, the sound waves will take longer to resonate through the piping due to the larger diameter id thus creating the low grumble you desire. Have you noticed that no one has said that its bad for the car yet they advise against it? Ponder that for a moment. Also make sure you use a 7-bolt flange to increase stiffness and minimize vibration.

Just go back to GDD.

Larger exhaust = louder, raspier exhaust. 2" is all your stock DD needs. You can get 2.5" piping on eBay all day long. Mate that with an off-shelf cat, and a Thrush Turbo muffler, and you'll be fine without drawing undue attention.

4 inch pipes on a civic?

guy I know has 4 inch stacks on a V10 dodge turbo diesel. The thing is literally the size of a drainage pipe. anything near 4 inches/ even 3.75 would look absolutely ridiculous on a civic.

3.75 inch? are you retarded? I have a 2.5" on a ****ing built turbo car (granted it should be 3"+ with the power I'm making now but still). Put a 2.25 or a 2.5 and get like a Tsudo muffler of a Apexi WS2, any HKS or magnaflow is going to be a raspy piece of **** and any 4" exhaust is not only going to be ungodly loud but it is going to make you lose power.

I'm pretty sure he's talking about the tip being 4" and not the actual piping.

I have a built and boosted Y8 with a 3" turbo back exhaust with a 4" N1 style muffler. My car sounds nothing like a Honda...
