Debating on a skunk 2 or apexi n1 muffler. Just a muffler, nothing fancy, not a full system. Deciding to change my stock out while I get the piping moved so I can get clearance for my subframe/swaybar to go in.
I want a deep sound... not a whoopie cushion farty sound. 2.25 inlet. I believe the apexi was a catback used for 90 and skunk2 was universal used for 80. This is going on a 97 del sol si stock y8.

Everything about both of those is going to sound farty. Though sound is a subjective matter.
I personally am 10 kinds of thrilled with my $50 Dynomax Super Turbo muffler after having spend $300+ experimenting with resonators and mufflers.
My car is mostly engine noise and sounds amazing.

this is an opinion thread, not even technical.
i'd say you go on youtube and search for soundclips of those 2 exhaust and see which one you like.
i would rather go with skunk2, but it's all up to you.

get an hks hi power, i've got a catback on mine and it has a nice deeep low tone 'cause the N1 & skunk2 at least the one i've heard do sound farty
IMO all strait through mufflers sound like *** unless its a strait thru turbo muffler that is chambered. Any chambered muffler I have used on hondas sound stock around town and wot sounds deep. Any strait thru n1 style I have used sounded like butt.
Greddy evo2 and apexi ws2 sound pretty nice, and both are chambered.
