Default 1998-1999 Civic engine swap

replaced the engine in a 98 Civic ES 2 dr. with a 1999 engine 4 dr.
replaced computer out of 1999
Problems: shifter lock won't disengage
tach and speedometer won't work
scanner fails when you hook it up.
Do i need to change the computer?

You replaced OBD2A components with OBD2B components. How exactly did you make all of the plugs fit? Did you replace the harnesses as well?
