Alarm how to (I know its green and red!)
I have been trying to figure out how to wire up my alarm to the door triggers. I cannot figure out how to use the wires in the wire channel. They work for one door or the other and if I short them out neither works.
I've been searching to no avail. I have a 18 in the back I don't want stolen, help please!

Is there any difference between 88 and 89-91/90-91 wiring for the circuit? I heard I can use a wire going to the dash for doors but there's no light on the dash for doors. I know I'm missing something but the "detailed wiring diagrams" my 3 manuals come with don't show **** for the door trigger or dome light.
I'd like to use the right wire so I can't disable my alarm by turning off the overhead light.
Any insight will be helpful!

So I found this picture after some more searching

Why does every list have the drivers running board instead of A pillar? I don't want to pull more panels than I have to but if this is where I have to tap in I will.

I'm confused as to what you are asking.
Why aren't you just tapping the wire from the door switch?
Our chassis doesn't differentiate between driver and passenger door.

Thank you for the question. I'm kinda stumped on this.
I stripped both and checked the voltage with a dmm and I would get voltage specific to each door. What I mean is each wire was sending a signal for its door not for both. I'm thinking I grabbed the wrong wires.
I think I have the wires directly after the door switches. If I go farther up the circuit I should find the negative trigger for both but I'm having difficulties finding it.
Which wire should I use? Any input is very appreciated!

this is a great guide. DA is as close to EF as you can get... GL.

Thank you so much for the link!
Just took a quick look at that guide it seems like the colors and locations match the CRX exactly. Maybe that's why I'm having so much trouble?
EDIT
I read through the article in its entirety and found the paragraph I've been looking for; here it is for the next time someone needs it.

The door trigger wire runs along the base of the rear seat beneath the carpet. On Hondas/Acuras up to 00, you always want to tap into the passenger-side door trigger wire. Connect the alarm's green (negative door trigger input) to the light green/red (wire color varies with some cars). Honda/Acura door trigger wires have real thick insulation on them. Close all the doors, set your meter to continuity, connect one probe to chassis ground and the other to the suspected wire. There should be no continuity (meter shows 1). Open a door and the meter should drop to 0. Test each door individually.

Not really sure why the guide says you need to use the passenger-side (they are the same and junction together farther down the line) but its on the money for the procedure to find the wires. One tidbit though check for voltage first though, don't wanna be messing up any multimeters.
