Icon2 input shaft bad? if so how do i replace?

i think my input shaft bearing is bad on my 98 dx d16y7 (dont know name of tranny)

there is a clicking/knocking type sound from my transmission in 1st 2nd and some times 3rd but when i push in the clutch pedal it goes away, its also nosier in the beginning of the gear or when its wound out but hardly noticeable in the middle of a gear. it also seams to either get better or go away once the car has been driven for a wile.

is the bearing on the shaft or in the case? and if its in the case do i just pop it out and pop a new one in or does it need a race or anything special?

ill try to post a video of the sound tomorrow.

Length of drive won't make a difference. If it is bad, it will make the noise whether you just started it or have been driving it for hours.

It is in the clutch housing. You should replace the seal for it at the same time. Use a puller to remove it.
