What's up yall. Its been a few years since I've tinkered around but im back testing the waters. Not trying to build a monster here but a hell of a fun daily driver.
Picked up a del sol almost a year ago as my back up. I ride my motorcycle daily. So it pretty much sits 95% of the time. Maybe this build will bring this baby back to life, at least a little.
I was recently trying to sell the car and told myself if I couldn’t sell it I would slap a turbo on it, and low and behold, none of you a$$holes like del sols! So here we are.
Current mods to the car:
Integra front brakes
omniman coilovers
Aftermarket headunit +speakers.
And that’s pretty much it. Car is running d16z6.
Here are the parts that I currently have:
Garet t3/t4 .57 and custom 3 inch downpipe.
Turbo blanket
DSM T25 turbo
HF manifold
Custom downpipe
Apex bov
Tial 38mm wg
Ebay intercooler
Ebay inercooler piping
Golden eagle vacuum block
Hallman boost controller
Hondata s300 w/boost
Dsm 450cc injectors
Mac boost solenoid
Autometer boost gauge
Now you may be thinking why 2 turbos? Well I initially got the garret and after putting in some thought about my HP goals, decided to go with the smaller t25. I’m only planning on putting down 200-210whp due to running stock bottom end. I will although be building a block on the side and then replacing the t25 to run more boost, so the garret and tial will be sitting for a while. Not planning on more than 300 long term. But we will see.
After getting the hallman boost controller, I realized I wanted to control boost via ecu(amongst other things), thus the s300. All I pretty much need at this point is a walbro 255, and if I am not missing anything, I should be good to go. All in all, I have $1180 into this kit so far for everything that is listed except the boost gauge, I already had that. so I am pretty happy. Thanks to my buddy Taylor who hooked it up with a some goodies!
Ill upload a few pics tonight.

If you have two turbos then your thought should move towards maybe spool time. Were it me I'd probably run the larger one, save more for a bottom end rebuild and run at the greater horsepower. Getting a small turbo and then having to switch it out later for the larger one is just a time and money waster.

T25s are all over the place. The manifold was from a Civic.

That's why that combo was so cheap.
Looks like this.

NO love for this little t25!?
Didn't get much done last night. I installed my 450cc injectors. I had some issues with the oil T and ends up I got the wrong fitting for the oil feed. So I spent a lot of time, wasting my time. Anyway. Here's a shot of the injectors in. should get them wired up tonight. Also hoping to mount my vacuum block and lines tonight along with finishing my oil feed and drain. Little by little! Shooting for completion in 2 weeks.

Usually I might agree with you, although I didn’t have a manifold for the garret, so either way I would have had to spend some cash to be able to boost. And I got the t25 w manifold, downpipe and new flex pipe for 145 shipped. which is less than any respectable non-ebay manifold. so really, I saved money by not running the garret. Not to mention saving miles on the turbo and wastegate.
Also with the power you are planning on making you dont even need a Walbro 255.

whats the stock pump good too? couldnt find a solid answer so i figured it wouldnt hurt to spend 80 bucks on something i will eventualy need anyway.
220 WHP basically. I had it on mine making 230WHP when my TRE 255LPH died and I was waiting for a walbro in the mail. Had 0 issues with it for the 2 weeks I had it on there.

Got some work done this weekend. Mounted the vacuum block and wired up all my vacuum lines. Added boost components to S300 and installed ecu back into car. Mounted and wired mac boost solenoid as well as tapped into ecu for signal. Mounted boost gauge in left side vent. Finished oil return. Finished splicing into injector wires and hooked up resistors.
all I really need is to hook up the downpipe to exhaust and install my walbro and oil feed. Then off to the tuner!
Having a hard time figuring out though what I want to do for exhaust. I would really like to keep it sounding stock to be super duper sleeper, although I don’t want the restriction. I was thinking electric e-cut out, but a lot of bad reviews on longevity. I read about a few guys using a throttle body as an ecut out. And I do have an extra one laying around…. Although I don’t want to make adjustments every time I want to go fast. And I don’t think the local track allows open DP for test n tune. Any of you turbo guys running stock exhaust?
Fabbed up a gauge mount using the stock exhaust gasket. The big round one between stock header and exhaust. It fits a 52mm gauge good but its snug, so I had to dremel out the center just a tad to make it fit perfectly. I painted it black and JB welded it to the left hand gutted vent. The gasket fits perfectly in the vent. I could have made it look cleaner by sanding the gasket down, but I don’t mind it too much. Uploading pictures now

all you need are some Yokohama AS430's they grip like mad. They are incredible tires and were part of the reason why my car was so fast.

finished up the car tonight. installed the turbo oil feed, filter and oil. set the fuel injectors to 440cc on smanager. and let her idle for a few minutes. no oil leaks! vacuum is about 10-11hg though. seems low. unless my gauge is off?
what are you d16z6 guys seeing for vacuum at idle?
