ok, problems, my car will crank over fine, but it will not start till the check engine lights goes off and the main relay kicks on, when it kicks on the check engine light goes off, up till this morning it always started, now, the check engine light wont go off, and the main relay wont kick on, any ideas on this subject.... need help A.S.A.P!!!!
Ok here's an update, my car finally started, but the new main relay still takes forever to kick on and the fuel pump to kick on, once they kick on it starts, but I can drive it somewhere, then shut it off and come back ten minutes later, I still have to wait a few for it to kick on, windows down and all so it don't get hot, and even that it happened this evening when it was cool out... Any suggestions?
someone please help!!!! ive looked thru all the forums and none of the problems match mine, the main relay is good, and the ignition switch is good, any ideas on where to look thru the wires at to find a short???? please please please help!!!!
beacause the main relay/ fuel pump relay are pretty well the same thing, i can hear it kick on right before the check engine light goes off, and if i put my hand on it, i can feel it kick... then i hear the fuel pump as soon as i hear it kick on....

So when you say you've checked the inputs, how did you do this? Did you put a test light on the main relay inputs when it's being delayed? If so, were you getting power supplied to the relay at the time of delay or not? If not, check the ignition switch. If so, suspect faulty relay.
i used the volt meter and check the voltage on the inputs of the plug to the main relay, with they key off and the key on, and when the main relay kicked on, when it kicked on and with the key being on, none of the voltage changed, but ive went threw three main relays, and i know i didnt get 3 bad ones.. and i still have the problem whether it be hot or cold, is still takes a few minutes to kick on....
