carbon fiber del sol parts (chaser or VIS)
Hey guys. Im in the market for a new carbon fiber hood and roof for my del sol. Ive had VIS carbon fiber before and its awesome. But i just stumbled uppon chaser areodynamics. There is a noticable price difference, but ive never heard of them before. Id like to spend less, but id rather spend a bit more on quality if i need to. Does anyone have experience with the hoods and targas? Chaser targas are half the price of VIS. Are they half as good? This car is summer only and is stored in a shop year round. Thanks in advance.
No dont get cf exterior parts! I have a cf top on my sol and it looks like ***. The clear is falling off and yellowed.... I can post pics if u want but it looks like ***. I would love to get an oem one but the car came with this when i got it...
You get what you pay for. Especially CF parts. Sometimes, not even then. Cheap out if you want to but IMO that would be stupid, especially if you had something better and knew it, then got crap sent to you all for trying to save a buck.
Yah thanks for the post. I ended up going with VIS. I called chase to quiz them and it turns out they dont even make the stuff, they send an order out to a factory over seas. Then put their name on it. Ive had VIS before so they are a safe bet.

I've read Seibon was top tier quality. VIS was runner-up.
Never heard of Chase....
Why don't you try making you're own hood? Buy a fiberglass hood and lay the carbon weave over it (much longer process but you get the jist).
