Default best ecu swap choice

Got a h23a1 honda prelude 1993 odb1 automatic transmission. I am currently running the stock p14 ecu. I am swapping for another ecu that is tunable. I am debating between a p74 p75 or p06. What has everyone had the best luck with? Keep in mind auto ecu. Want to install a hondata s300

Auto trannys are not supported on the s300 platform:

Read note 2 at the end of the table...

Are you sure? I have a good guy telling me it is possible if i have a trans controller separate from my ecu. Is he right?

I've been able to do it using an auto P75 chipped and tuned with an auto basemap but sometimes the customer gets a blinking D1 light on the cluster even though it shifts fine.
Most of the time, customers swap over to a manual tranny.

ok, rywire can make me a harness so ill be getting a p06 ecu and a rywire (p14 to P06) harness along with hondata s300. think this will work? h23a1 engine. is there any difference between a p06 auto and manual ecu. seems to be the same ecu to me, if so what is the difference if i already have a trans controller?

Yea, Rywire can make you an auto conversion harness but IIRC they are very expensive! Good luck...

Yea, its.gona be $250 bucks for the harness $490 for the s300 and about $50-$100 for the p06 ecu. At least this is a good option for what i am doing here, the aem fic is great but my tuner refuses to work with it. I can understand why, It is a pain to tune with, especially on a odb1 honda that makes it very hard to see short term fuel trims. If i did not have a scope and extensive electronics knowledge it would have been impossible. But new and better things are in store now!!!!! Whoooooo!
