Icon6 99 LX Manual Tranny Fluid Change...

Wanting to change my manual tranny fluid in my 99' LX.

Should i use 10/30 oil or splurge on honda MTF? Is there a write up on doing this? I had no luck searching...

I bought honda MTF for my last change. Here is a good picture of the drain and fill plugs.

Also, look in the stickies for the fluid swap procedure. It's pretty straight forward.

Thanks fellas! I changed it when I had my 94 LX and put 10w30 in it but haven't 99 changed it in my 99 yet. So ill go grab some MTF from honda.

How many quarts she hold? And if anyone has access to a repair/service manual I would much appreciate it!

Whats different from the 92-95 and 96-2000 that makes one like 10/30 and one like honda mtf?

It's just the way the transmissions were made. Put Honda MTF in the 92-95 and you can kiss your ISB goodbye.
