I did it!
I changed the timing belt in my 93 hatch, it took me a long time to do it since I had trouble with the removal of the alternator pivot nut and the crankshaft bolt.
I also changed the water pump and accesory belts.
The pulley on the crankshaft moved out of phase a couple of times during reassembly and I had to take it out and reinstall.
Once I established tension on the belt and tightened the adjust bolt, the crankshaft pulley did not slip again.
I was not sure that I could do this, wow.
